9:19 pm (Local Time) – Wouldn’t you know after my comments on the rain yesterday, it didn’t rain at all today! 9:19 pm (Hora local) - Será que não sabem após os meus comentários sobre a chuva ontem, não chegou a chover aqui hoje! We had a beautiful day and it worked out great. Tínhamos um belo dia e ele trabalhava no grande. We went to church in the morning and fortunately, we had Cesar there to translate for us. Fomos à igreja pela manhã e, felizmente, tivemos Cesar lá para traduzir para nós. Another first for me though during the service, they take an intermission. Outro primeiro lugar para mim embora durante o serviço, eles tomam um interlúdio. A gentleman spoke on Apocalipsis (Revelation) chapter four and then after the intermission, the pastor led a Bible Study. Um cavalheiro falou sobre Apocalipsis (Apocalipse) e quatro capítulos, em seguida, após o intervalo, o pastor levou um Estudo Bíblico. We got to sing songs in Spanish, which was neat. Temos a cantar canções em espanhol, que estava arrumado.
After lunch (they had pizza delivered), we headed out to an orphanage. Após o almoço (eles tinham entregue pizza), que chefiou a um orfanato. We were going with the men’s and women’s soccer teams from Bethel University and they were a ways behind us so our great bus driver, Guillermo, took us sight seeing. He took us to a scenic lookout and it was an amazing view. Ele levou-nos a um miradouro cênicas e foi uma maravilhosa vista. During our drive we also passed a volcano which hasn’t erupted since 1963. Durante a nossa unidade, também passou um vulcão que ainda não estourou desde 1963. We also saw the ruins of an old cathedral, which was destroyed by an earthquake, and the new cathedral which was massive, white, and beautiful. Vimos também as ruínas de uma antiga catedral, que foi destruída por um terremoto, e que a nova catedral foi maciça, branco e bonito.
We finally arrived at the orphanage and had a great time. Nós finalmente chegou ao orfanato e teve um grande momento. There are over 100 children of all ages that live there. Existem mais de 100 crianças de todas as idades que ali vivem. They were so excited to see us. Eles eram tão animado para nos ver. We were able to do a bunch of different things including: Fomos capazes de fazer um monte de coisas diferentes, incluindo:
· Played around with volleyballs or soccer balls. Jogado com cerca de volleyballs futebol ou bolas.
· Played “Duck, Duck, Goose.” Jogado "Pato, pato, ganso".
· Gave piggy back rides. Piggy back dava boleias.
· Played on the playground. Tocadas no playground.
· Played jump rope. Jogado pular corda.
· Took lots of pictures – they loved having their picture taken and then wanted to see it right away on the digital camera. Teve lotes de imagens - que adorava ter tido sua imagem e, em seguida, queria vê-la imediatamente sobre a câmera digital.
It was a lot of fun to play with the children, and it was really hard to leave…four of the children came down to the fence right by our bus and were waving goodbye, blowing us kisses, and sticking out their lip, giving that sad face. Foi muito divertido para brincar com as crianças, e foi realmente difícil de sair ... quatro das crianças veio para baixo para o receptador certo pelos nossos ônibus e foram acenando adeus, soprando-nos beijos, e honrando os seus lábios, indicando que rosto triste. (I think that was the hardest one to take.) (Acho que foi um dos mais difíceis de tomar.)
We finished the night having dinner at Friday’s…Cesar, Guillermo, and Marianella were able to join us. Temos a noite acabado a jantar no Friday's ... Cesar, Guillermo, Marianella e foram capazes de se juntarem a nós. It’s the first receipt I’ve ever signed that had a six digit number. É a primeira recepção que eu já tinha assinado que um número seis dígitos. Fortunately, it was in colones and not dollars! Felizmente, ele estava no colones e não dólares! We got back to the villa and took some time to debrief about our experience. Temos de volta para a vila e demorou algum tempo a Debrief sobre nossa experiência. Many of the girls had really neat stories about their interactions with the children. Muitas das meninas tiveram realmente cuidados histórias sobre as suas interações com as crianças.
Tonight was the last night we’ll all be together. Esta noite foi a última noite nós vamos ficar todos juntos. Heather Craker, Monique, and Annika fly home tomorrow so Heather and Monique can get back for some of the Resident Assistant training that is currently going on. Heather Craker, Monique, e Annika voar tão Heather casa amanhã e Monique podemos voltar para algumas das Residente Adjunto da formação que se encontra actualmente em curso. As for those of us who are remaining in Costa Rica, we’re leaving at 8 am to do another volleyball clinic and then after lunch, we are going to distribute food. Tal como para aqueles de nós que estão permanecendo na Costa Rica, estamos saindo às 8 horas para fazer uma outra clínica voleibol e, em seguida, após o almoço, iremos para distribuir alimentos. We are expecting God to bless our ministry tomorrow as he has during our entire trip. Nós estamos esperando Deus para abençoar nosso ministério amanhã como ele teve durante toda a nossa viagem.
