Metro East Luthern HS – June 23
Tuesday, June 23
Today we had a fun day. We left at 7:30 a.m. for Volcano Irazu and drove for about 2 hours. We hiked on top of the volcano for about two hours until it got so cloudy that we were literally in the clouds. After that we bought snacks and souvenirs at the gift shop on top of the volcano. The students really enjoyed seeing a new part of God’s creation.
We went back to the Villa and had lunch. After lunch we went to downtown San Jose to do some more souvenir shopping at a market; again an activity that they thoroughly enjoyed. We did a little more shopping at Mall San Pedro after that.
Back at the Villa we ate supper and ended the day with Bible study, talking about how to receive each other as gifts and as part of the body of Christ. We also folded more tracts for tomorrow. And I was incorrect in reporting that we handed out 2,000 tracts yesterday (Monday). We actually handed out 10,000.
