FBC Palm Desert – July 4
Greetings from Costa Rica. Sorry about the delay in the updates. We are having a great time here and wanted to bring you up to date.
Day 1 – Day one was travel, travel, and more travel, We took off at 10:20 PM and arrived in Costa Rica and 11:30 am on Day 2. Besides fatigue, everything about the flight was perfect. God blessed our travel in every way.
Day 2- Because a large part of our day two was consumed with travel, we spent the balance of the day getting settled in. We did get to prepare 4,000 gospel tracts in about two hours so that we could distribute them the following morning. We experienced rain without warning which added a welcomed difference for us desert dwellers. The weather is beautiful here.
Day 3- Day three was a great awakening. It started with a trip downtown to pass out tracts. We thought it would take hours to do this. We were wrong. The people were so eager to receive the simple tracts and wanted more for those around them. It took us one hour to distribute 4000 tracts. That was a shock. The biggest shock came when we noticed that the people actually stopped and read them. The Costa Rican people are eager to find out anything that could help them in life. From there we went to distribute food to the needy. We went to a place called “The Hole”. It is filled with Nicaraguan refugees that came here, with hopes of a better life that to this point hasn’t been found. Every member of our team was deeply moved.
