Day 5 Día 5
Today, we woke up early and left at 7 AM to head out on a long bus ride to the Punta Leona resort. Hoy en día, nos despertamos temprano y salió a las 7 AM a la cabeza en un largo viaje en autobús a los resort de Punta Leona. On the way, we stopped at a bridge where our guide Raymond told us to beware of the crocodiles and their capacity to bite off the toes of unsuspecting tourists. En el camino, nos detuvimos en un puente donde nuestro guía nos dijo Raymond al cuidado de los cocodrilos y su capacidad para morder los dedos de los pies fuera de inocentes turistas. He also told us that Steve Irwin once did a demonstration at the bridge and captured a 3 meter crocodile! También nos dijo que Steve Irwin, una vez hizo una manifestación en el puente y capturaron a un cocodrilo de 3 metros! We admired the crocodiles from a good safe distance on the bridge, and also came across a snake and iguana along the way. Hemos admirado los cocodrilos de una buena distancia de seguridad sobre el puente, y también llegó a través de una iguana y serpiente en el camino. Four hours later, we finally arrived with our faces pressed against the windows taking in the awesome view of the ocean. After eating another huge and delicious SCORE meal, we spent the first three hours at the Playa Mantas beach soaking up rays, exploring, picking up shells, swimming, and playing beach soccer. At 2:45, we checked in and moved into our AIR CONDITIONED rooms that were named after various South American countries. En 2:45, se verificó y se trasladó a nuestro habitaciones con aire acondicionado que fueron nombrados después de diversos países de América del Sur. After a quick 15 minute rest, we headed out to explore the other beach: Playa Blanca (the white beach). Después de un rápido 15 minutos de descanso, nos dirigimos a explorar la otra playa: Playa Blanca (la playa blanca). Right away, we were in awe of the gorgeous scenery: clear water, rolling waves, and rock formations with all kinds of crabs and slugs to investigate. Enseguida, estábamos en la admiración de magníficos paisajes: el agua limpia, renovable olas, y formaciones rocosas con todo tipo de cangrejos y babosas para investigar. We were reminded, once again, of how incredible our God is by what He has created! Se nos recordó, una vez más, de increíble cómo nuestro Dios es por lo que Él ha creado! We did a lot of body surfing and definitely got our fair share of sodium for the day. Hicimos un gran cuerpo de surf y definitivamente tenemos nuestra parte justa de sodio para el día. While the water was clear, it wasn’t necessarily the best tasting! Si bien el agua estaba clara, no es necesariamente la mejor degustación! To finish off at the beach before dinner, we watched the beautiful Costa Rican sunset just as a few drops of rain fell on us. Para terminar en la playa antes de la cena, hemos visto la hermosa puesta de sol de Costa Rica al igual que unas gotas de lluvia cayó sobre nosotros. We were definitely blessed with great weather during our time at the resort, because those were the only raindrops we saw! Nos definitivamente bendecido con gran clima durante nuestro tiempo en el recurso, porque esas fueron las únicas gotas de lluvia que vimos! We made it back to our rooms with plenty of time to prepare for the dinner feast, which Raymond and Tom had been talking up all week. Hemos dejado atrás a nuestras habitaciones con un montón de tiempo para preparar la cena de fiesta, que Raymond y Tom habían estado hablando de toda la semana. They definitely weren’t exaggerating; they had everything from fresh fish to muy bueno leche cake which only some of us were lucky enough to taste before it ran out! Ellos definitivamente no exagerar, que había de todo, desde pescado fresco a muy bueno leche pastel que sólo algunos de nosotros fueron la suerte de gusto antes de que se agotó! At any rate, none of us left hungry. En cualquier caso, ninguno de nosotros salió con hambre. After dinner, many of us went our separate ways. Después de la cena, muchos de nosotros fueron nuestros caminos se separaron. A lot of us headed back to the beach for a night time stroll or just to sit and relax, listening to the crashing waves. All the while, we were being stalked by the fearless raccoons, but thankfully poppy pep was on guard and protected us all. Others of us were exhausted from the day and went to bed right away with the intention of getting up early to watch the sunrise. To conclude, we were all thankful for a fun and relaxing day to unwind and have some quality team bonding and to get a restful night sleep in a cool, comfy bed! Hey there… well after a few days in the cloudy mountains we were finally heading off to the beach. Hola ... bueno después de unos días en el turbio montañas que fueron finalmente a la partida frente a la playa. Yeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!! Yeeeeeeah !!!!!!!!!! We rose early and we had a long drive ahead of us, but we didn’t mind because that just meant we had a lot of time to play mafia!!!!!!! Nos levanta temprano y hemos tenido un largo viaje por delante de nosotros, pero no cuenta porque acaba de decir que hemos tenido un montón de tiempo para jugar mafia !!!!!!! Many games of mafia later we emerged from the hills. Muchos juegos de la mafia después de salir de las colinas. We had finally reached the ocean. Nos ha llegado finalmente a los océanos. Before we knew it we were on the sand playing beach soccer. Antes sabíamos que estábamos en la arena de playa jugando al fútbol. A few of us went exploring down la playa Blanca and found a bunch of hermit crabs. A algunos de nosotros fue a explorar en la playa Blanca y encontró un montón de cangrejos ermitaños. After moving into our rooms we all went to the southern beach to watch the sunset and oh what a sunset it was!!! Después de pasar a las habitaciones que todos fueron a la playa sur a ver la puesta del sol y oh lo que una puesta de sol era! After a long day we returned to our rooms and ate some dinner. Después de un largo día regresamos a nuestras habitaciones y se comió algunas cena. We were dead tired afterwards, but adventure still called us…so a bunch of us walked down to the beach to just relax, chat and stargaze. Estábamos cansados después de muerto, pero la aventura aún nos ha llamado ... para un montón de nosotros que caminaba por la playa para relajarse, charlar y stargaze. Day five was one to remember. The fifth day of our mission trip served as a needed day of rest, reflection, and relationship building. El quinto día de nuestra misión viaje sirvió como un necesario día de descanso, la reflexión y construcción de relaciones. We used the opportunity to explore God’s creation and to continue to grow the God-glorifying friendships throughout the team. Se utilizó la oportunidad de explorar la creación de Dios y que siga creciendo la glorificación de Dios amistades en todo el equipo. It was great to see a mix of forty young men and women all sharing in beach soccer, body-surfing, shell scavenging, tree climbing, conversation, relaxation, and plenty of GOOD eating!!! Es genial ver una mezcla de cuarenta jóvenes, hombres y mujeres de todo el intercambio en el fútbol playa, el cuerpo-surf, depósito basura, árbol de escalada, conversación, la relajación, y mucho de comer BUENA! Most amazing of all was observing the sunset from the beach. Más sorprendente de todo fue observar la puesta de sol de la playa. The splendor of God was clearly visible as we explored the rocks and swam at the beautiful beach. El esplendor de Dios es claramente visible como hemos explorado las rocas y nadando en la playa. We stood in awe as the sun slowly broke from the clouds and descended behind the distant island positioned opposite the beach. Estamos en la era impresionante como el sol lentamente se rompió a partir de las nubes y descendió detrás de la isla distantes posicionada frente a la playa. The sky grew orange in contrast with the bright green vegetation surrounding the water. El cielo de naranja creció en contraste con el verde brillante vegetación que rodea el agua. Cliffs loomed on the right, while rocks jutted into the see on the left. Loomed acantilados a la derecha, mientras que las rocas en la jutted ver a la izquierda. Mere minutes from sunset, a soft rain began to fall. Mero minutos de la puesta de sol, una suave lluvia comenzó a caer. It brought forth a rainbow behind us—arching over the palm trees too completely render us speechless. Se sacó un arco iris detrás de nosotros estructuras de más de las palmeras también nos hacen completamente sin palabras. What more is there to say? ¿Qué más hay que decir? God is beautiful, his creation amazing, and he is graceful enough to reveal it to us! Dios es bello, la creación de su asombroso, y es lo suficientemente elegante para revelar a nosotros!

Day 6 Día 6
Day 6 has arrived and passed before we knew it. Día 6 ha llegado y pasado antes de que sabía. We woke up at varying times at the resort and headed to breakfast. Nos despertamos a diferentes tiempos en el recurso y se dirigió a desayunar. One thing for sure is that I know it’s nice to wake up to air conditioning. Una cosa segura es que sé que es bueno para despertar al aire acondicionado. Yesterday and today were necessary to recover. Ayer y hoy eran necesarias para recuperarse. I know personally I slept for 12 hours and could have gone for much longer. Sé que personalmente me dormí durante 12 horas y podría haber ido por mucho tiempo. Some of the players decided to wake up for sunrise and to get to the beach one last time before breakfast. Algunos de los jugadores decidió despertar para el amanecer y llegar a la playa por última vez antes del desayuno. After breakfast we headed off to our last game. Después del desayuno nos dirigimos hacia nuestro último juego. It was not to far from the resort and the humidity showed. No fue a la medida de recurso y puso de manifiesto la humedad. Once the game had started we were all soaked like we had just walked out of the shower. Una vez que el juego había comenzado estábamos todos empapados, como nos acaba de salió de la ducha. The clouds eventually covered us up and cooled down a bit. Las nubes finalmente cubiertos con nosotros y enfriado un poco. The girls won 4-0 and the guys won 5-0. Las chicas ganaron 4-0 y los chicos ganaron 5-0. this was not what was important however. esto no era lo que era importante sin embargo. Randon was able to share a part of his life to the kids and Kantor was able to share the gospel. Randon fue capaz de compartir una parte de su vida a los niños y Kantor fue capaz de compartir el evangelio. After this Raymond, who had been traveling with us the whole trip and was a part of Score International decided to share the gospel himself. Después de este Raymond, que había estado viajando con nosotros todo el viaje y fue una parte de Puntuación Internacional decidió compartir el evangelio mismo. It was very promising to hear the passion in his voice and body language. Es muy prometedor para escuchar la pasión en su voz y lenguaje corporal. Even though he had never met this group of kids you could see the love of Christ in him and hear it through his voice and that is what this whole trip was all about. Aunque nunca había se reunió este grupo de niños se puede ver el amor de Cristo en él y escuchar a través de su voz y eso es lo que todo este viaje se trata. Many of the kids ended up accepting Christ on the spot. Muchos de los niños terminó por aceptar a Cristo en el lugar. We learned later that many of the kids parents were drug users and the families were very poor. Más tarde nos enteramos de que muchos de los niños fueron los padres los usuarios de drogas y las familias son muy pobres. This was one of the more powerful times of sharing personally. Este fue uno de los más poderosos veces de compartir personalmente. After all of this we headed back to the Score villa and on the long bus ride had some extremely intense games of mafia. Después de todo esto nos dirigimos a la villa de puntuación y en el largo viaje en autobús había algunos juegos muy intensos de la mafia. Day 6 was an amazing day and was filled with times that I will remember. Día 6 fue un día increíble y se llenó de veces que voy a recordar.

As many of the other players have suggested, after spending the day at Punta Leona I am convinced that there is no better apologetic answer to God than His creation around us. Como muchos de los otros jugadores han sugerido, después de pasar el día en Punta Leona Estoy convencido de que no hay mejor excusa respuesta a Dios que Su creación que nos rodea. No matter how well we present our theology or the amount of time we spend formulating our opinions, none of that will ever compare to the magnificence of the breath taking beauty around us. No importa lo bien que presentar nuestra teología o la cantidad de tiempo que pasamos la formulación de nuestras opiniones, ninguno de los que nunca comparar a la magnificencia de la belleza tomando aliento que nos rodea.
It’s hard to leave such a wonderful paradise and know that you will soon be returning to a life that can often times be plagued with chaos and deadlines. Es difícil salir de ese paraíso maravilloso y sé que usted pronto será volver a una vida que puede ser muchas veces plagado de caos y los plazos. But I am excited to return to Bethel and begin to live out some of the lessons that I have learned while here in Costa Rica. Pero estoy emocionada de volver a Bethel y comenzar a vivir algunas de las lecciones que he aprendido mientras que aquí en Costa Rica. The one thing that has revealed itself to me more than anything is the fact that we as Christians do not have to go to a foreign country to change lives. Lo único que ha revelado a sí mismo en mí más que nada es el hecho de que nosotros como cristianos no tienen que ir a un país extranjero para cambiar vidas. Often times it is in our everyday lives that we encounter instances wherein we have opportunities to show Christ’s mercy and love to the people around us. Muchas veces es en nuestra vida cotidiana que nos encontramos con casos en donde tenemos la oportunidad de mostrar la misericordia de Cristo y el amor a la gente que nos rodea. Even in the most simplistic ways, whether it be starting a conversation with a complete stranger or serving someone who is in need of assistance; it is those moments that we perpetuate the Kingdom of God and fulfill the work to which we have been called. Incluso en las formas más simplistas, ya sea a partir de una conversación con un completo extraño o al servicio de alguien que está en necesidad de asistencia, es esos momentos que perpetúan el Reino de Dios y cumplir con la labor a la que hemos sido llamados. And as I reflect upon my life and the hundreds of instances that I have in a given day to be a blessing to someone else, I realize how important my life is. Y como he reflexionar sobre mi vida y los cientos de casos que he dado en un día a ser una bendición para alguien más, me doy cuenta de cuán importante es mi vida. Not because it is mine…but because it is God’s and there is so much that He can do with me if I allow him too. Porque no es mío ... sino porque es de Dios y hay tanto que Él puede hacer conmigo si me lo permiten también.
There was an evening on this trip where a Score representative was giving a devotion and he asked our group how many of us were planning on going into full time ministry and in response a handful of us raised our hand. Hubo una noche en este viaje donde un representante de puntuación está dando una devoción y pidió a nuestro grupo, ¿cuántos de nosotros se va en la planificación en el ministerio a tiempo completo y en respuesta a un puñado de nosotros nuestra parte, planteó. But as I sat there and listened to the remainder of his devotion, it dawned on me that if we are truly going to live the life Christ has called us to then all of us as Christians should be raising our hands. Pero, como me senté allí y escuchó el resto de su devoción, que amaneció en mí que si queremos realmente va a vivir la vida de Cristo nos ha llamado entonces a todos nosotros como cristianos debe ser elevar nuestras manos. We all are part of a full time ministry because our lives are continually ongoing, and it is our lives and our actions, rather than our words that convey to the people around us what it means to be apart of God’s Kingdom. Todos somos parte de un ministerio a tiempo completo, porque nuestras vidas están continuamente en curso, y es nuestra vida y nuestras acciones, más que nuestras palabras que transmitir a la gente que nos rodea lo que significa que se aparte del Reino de Dios. And having spent the past week with 40 young adults who are all aware of this I cannot wait to see what God is going to do in the upcoming season. Y de haber pasado la última semana con 40 jóvenes adultos que son todos conscientes de ello, no puedo esperar a ver lo que Dios va a hacer en la próxima temporada.

Wow! Being a part of this trip has truly shown me the power of God. Ser parte de este viaje ha demostrado realmente me el poder de Dios. As coach of both the men’s and women’s teams it is sometimes hard to keep things in balance. Como entrenador de los hombres y las mujeres los equipos a veces es difícil mantener las cosas en equilibrio. This week was great proof of God’s place in all of our player’s lives. Esta semana fue una gran prueba de Dios en el lugar de todos los de nuestro jugador en la vida. I have been so honored to be involved with such great player’s who are willing to give it all up for God. He sido tan honrado de estar involucrados con gran jugador del que están dispuestos a dar todo para Dios. More to come………………… Más por venir ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
