We have had a Blessed Day!! We went to church this morning in
Yesterday, the first half of the day we went to an orphanage & the second half we went to visit one of the Sugar Cane villages. We were all touched deeply by both of these visits. The things we see on T.V., regarding the homeless & poverty, is true. These children were so excited over a small 3 cent balloon & a 25 cent small plastic blow up ball. The homes in the fields were mainly constructed of tin, pieced together. They had outside toilets and no running water. We were informed that their water comes from the rain that they catch in buckets & barrells. Even though these people were pitiful and live in poverty, they seem so happy. They loved the attention, the hugs, the smiles and the fact that someone cares.
There is another church that is here also. Please pray for them. They have been so nice to us & we have been able to work together serving the Lord. The name of their church is Tri-Cities Baptist. Everyone needs to experience seeing this and being a witness to how these people have to live. Brothers and sisters in Christ these people need our prayers, food, clothes and more prayers. Thank God all of us with the group are doing well and praise God no one has been sick. God is truly with us!
