Church, James Bond and Soccer (Washtenaw)
April 6, 2008
We got up, explored the beach and ate a huge breakfast: pancakes, plantains, toast (like texas toast), scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit. Yum!

We loaded the bus for church at 9 a.m. The service at St. Ann’s Bay Baptist Church was 3 hours long, but it didn’t feel like it. A choir dressed in red robes sang and the people reverently worshiped singing the same songs as us, but with a little Jamaican flavor.
After the service we walked to James Bond beach. This was where James Bond filmed one of his first movies, Dr. No. It was beautiful! A river with small waterfalls ran right into the ocean.

Some of the guys played soccer on the beach while we played in the water, caught some rays, and enjoyed the Jamaican culture.
We start VBS tomorrow. Exciting! Anxious!
