SCORE International is a ministry to expose people to short term missions.

The purpose of SCORE International is to Evangelize, Encourage missionaries, and Equip participants to do the work of foreign missions.

Our goal is to produce career missionaries and/or create greater partnerships between local churches in the USA and foreign missionaries.

Chattanooga’s Mentoring Coaches Conference

SCORE International is hosting its second Mentoring Coaches Conference on January 31, 2009.  The conference will be held at Bayside Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The goal of the conference is to teach coaches to understand and value their role of spiritual impact on their campus and to nurture the process of mentoring athletes for Christ.

2008 Baseball Outreach A Success

“Baseball is a passion for us,” said Dominican Amaury Telemaco former Major League pitcher. “If you make it, you and your family will be set financially.” Telemaco continued explaining how he learned baseball on the streets of a sugarcane village using a tree branch for a bat, a milk carton for a glove and his father’s sock covered with rubber as a baseball.

Tampa Bay Bucanneers Help with Football Clinic

“I’m a grown man playing a kid’s sport,” said Brian Clark, wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “I just get paid for it now, and people watch us on television.”

Clark hung out with kids and taught football during a clinic for inner-city youth at Belmont Heights Little League Park in Tampa, Florida, on Tuesday. Sponsored by Athletes in Action and SCORE International, the afternoon clinic involved several fifteen-minute stations manned by seven Buccaneer players teaching football fundamentals.

John Zeller Visits the Yankees

John Zeller, Executive Vice President of SCORE International, traveled to New York the last weekend the Yankees played at the Yankees Stadium in September 2008. “SCORE has a good connection with the Yankees, and I wanted to touch base with Andy Pettitte and some of the other players about our November Baseball Outreach in the Dominican Republic,” said Zeller. “Plus, I’m a diehard Yankee fan and wanted to see one more game in the old stadium.”
