Well, Thursday, June 19, 2008 was our final day in the Dominican. This morning we went to ‘Jumbo’, the Dominican supermarket, and bought enough food to feed 40 people or so for a couple of days. We are all so blessed that it felt like the least we could do for these people. We took the food to a nursing home in a village called Montey Cristy. It was a good thing we went because they had almost no food at all left in the stockroom.
This afternoon we went to play a basketball game at Villa Duarte. It was downtown in the capital. We played a close game for a while but once again the game got away from us. After the game Brian shared his testimony and a good number of people said that this was the first time they had ever heard the Gospel shared.
It was an amazing week. We saw the Lord work in some wonderful ways! |
