Grace Christian Basketball - Sunday
Everyone seemed to get a good night’s rest. We had breakfast of cereal, toast and delicious fresh fruit–pineapple, watermelon and cantelope. The coffee is also quite good. We left for our 45 minute bus ride to church at 9:15. It was a wonderful service with many young people. In addition to many songs (including “Sunshine In My Soul” and ”At Calvary” all in Spanish), the pastor finished a series requested by his young people on Leadership from 1 Tim. 4:12-16. A SCORE person translated. The church folks made us all feel welcome. Lunch was beef and rice with beans and veggies-delicious. We walked to the beach and were a bit disappointed as a recent storm caused the water to be filled with debrey. After some swimming and walking, we returned to the pool on the compound. Our schedule for tomorrow has changed: We’re up at 6:30, breakfast at 7 and basketball at 9 and 11! Tomorrow afternoon we go to an orphanage. It’s now 9:15 and we’re heading for devotions and bed.
